HOW IS MYND DIFFERENT?

When we developed MYND we put quality first. After tasting every CBD drink on the market we knew you deserved better. So we set out to create a 100% plant based CBD drink that not only tastes good, but makes you feel good too. We made sure to find nothing but the highest quality ingredients all derived from nature.  When we say all CBD drinks aren't created equal you will understand after you take your first sip.

WHAT IS CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive compound in a class called ‘cannabinoids’ which occur naturally in the hemp plant, among other plants. It has been shown to decrease anxiety, relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and ease stress, inducing homeostasis within the body. People who consume CBD regularly have described its effect to be calming for both the mind and body and research has shown significant potential for CBD to contribute to mental and physical health.

HOW DOES CBD WORK?

CBD helps to regulate the functioning of the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). As it enters the body, CBD attaches to receptors in the ECS and acts to restore the body’s internal balance. CBD is well known for helping you feel balanced by reducing the feeling of being overwhelmed, allowing you to stay positive and handle whatever the day throws your way.

WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS AND HOW DO THEY WORK?

Cannabinoids are a group of fatty compounds found in the hemp plant (phytocannabinoids) as well as the human body (endocannabinoids). Cannabinoids have been described as “antioxidants and neuroprotectants” by the US Department of Health and Human Services. These powerful compounds are essential for the normal functioning of the immune and central nervous system.

Cannabinoids work by acting on the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), a network of cannabinoid receptors in the cells of our brain, organs, glands, connective tissues and immune cells. The ECS controls stress response and immune function (and most other things that cause health and lifestyle problems in people today). It is hypothesised that the ECS acts as a “dimmer switch” helping modulate brain activity and mood - offering a “full body massage at the molecular level”. 

By fitting into the ECS receptors like pieces of a puzzle, cannabinoids such as CBD may repair damaged cells and help provide a state of internal stability. The endocannabinoid system responds both to cannabinoids that our body naturally produces, and phytocannabinoids, like CBD, that we consume.

DOES MYND CONTAIN ANY THC?

No. Mynd contains zero THC.

HOW MUCH CBD IS IN MYND?

Each MYND drink contains 25mg of CBD (cannabidiol). While quantity is largely subjective, for us, we have chosen 25mg as a meaningful dose.

In order to be as transparent as possible, we have included  a Certificates of Analysis  in the 'Quality ' section of this site.

WILL MYND GET ME HIGH?

Absolutely not. Our liquid contains 0% THC, which you can verify by taking a look at the 'Quality ' section of this website.

WHERE IS MYND CBD HEMP EXTRACT SOURCED?

To ensure we use the highest quality CBD, MYND works with suppliers that are committed to providing ethically sourced, high quality water soluble Hemp Extract.  We use CBD sourced from the purest Hemp plant in Colorado.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE TOO MUCH CBD?

According to the World Health Organization’s recent 2018 study, CBD has not been shown to have negative effects on the body regardless of the amount consumed. CBD has also not been shown to have any addictive properties.

WILL CBD SHOW UP ON A BLOOD TEST?

Most drug tests do not test for the compound CBD. CBD is also not on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) list of prohibited substances. However, we always recommend you consult your doctor or employer if this is a concern.

IS MYND WADA COMPLIANT?

Yes. MYND is WADA compliant. According to WADA (Link) all natural and synthetic cannabinoids are prohibited except cannabidiol, during competition. No Cannabinoid is banned outside of competition. See the WADA prohibited at all times site (https://www.wada-ama.org/en/content/what-is-prohibited/prohibited-at-all-times). If an athlete does want to use certain products during competition, then they must satisfy themselves that the product that they are taking contains "no natural or synthetic cannabinoids except CBD". The most commonly accepted way is to look to a 3^rd party laboratory to test each batch of a given supplement to assure them that it does not contain any substances which are banned by WADA.

While an individual athlete must accept total liability for what goes into their body, what we can offer is a third party lab result for our CBD Isolate based emulsion, which is produced by a 3^rd party (Integrity Labs).
